I hear it all the time. I have 35 students in my classroom and a very large IEP that I have to follow. In this workshop, we help participants identify strategies to efficiently and effectively implement the IEP in the general education classroom.

Imagine a world where each special education teacher can identify the specific curriculum resources they need. We help participants learn how to curriculum plan with the SECA Model in order to define curriculum, curriculum resources, and curricular development and the differences. We also take special education teachers through a 3 step process to plan for the school year.

In this workshop, we work with district staff to review the areas of an IEP that we are looking at, what quality data should look like, model a quality IEP meeting, and what staff should make sure to address in an IEP meeting.

Conceptual understanding is often a vague, but overused term in teaching. In this workshop, we focus on defining conceptual understanding in special education, distinctions between algorithmic and conceptual strategies, and provide participants with concrete conceptual understanding instructional strategies in Math, ELA, and Science.

Imagine an IEP Meeting where the facilitator is the student. In this workshop, we present concrete strategies to make this happen! Participants will learn how to teach students to lead their own IEP meeting no matter their age or grade level, present their own strengths, data, and goals.
